InFocus 2025 Recap: How AI is Transforming JD Edwards Now and Beyond
This year’s #InFocus2025 was buzzing with energy, insights, and one theme that stood out above all others: #ArtificialIntelligence. With more than 52 sessions showcasing how AI is being applied to transform #JD Edwards, this year’s conference was a celebration of #innovation, #collaboration, and #community ❤️
One of the things I enjoy most about InFocus is the opportunity to come together in one place to share customer stories, explore the latest tools, and discover what’s possible when the #JDE ecosystem embraces change.
We kicked off with a standout session, Digitize Your Enterprise with Microsoft Teams, Orchestrator & AI-Enhanced Automation for JD Edwards, presented by Saravana. With #MicrosoftTeams quickly surpassing Outlook as the go-to enterprise platform, this session demonstrated how organizations are embedding #JDE tasks into Teams for real-time alerts, scheduling, and intelligent automation, keeping employees productive right where collaboration happens.
That theme carried forward with Is Your Warehouse AI-Enabled?, where Nitin spotlighted AtomIQ AI Agents. These powerful, no-code/low-code agents bring JD Edwards directly into #Slack and #MicrosoftTeams so that procurement, logistics, and finance teams can:
- Approve POs, shipments, or invoices with one click in chat
- Fix shipping delays or inventory gaps automatically with #AI
- Get real-time alerts for stockouts, delays, or compliance risks
No coding, no new tools – just smarter, faster, AI-augmented workflows in minutes. The result: a more intelligent, adaptive #ERP that meets employees where they already work.
Another highlight came from Granite Properties’ Bold Transformation Journey, where the team shared their experience of simultaneously migrating #JDE to #OracleCloudInfrastructure (#OCI) and upgrading to Release 24. Their story offered a roadmap for reducing disruption, gaining stakeholder buy-in, and unlocking the scalability, cost-efficiency, and performance benefits of OCI while embracing the latest JDE features.
On the hot topic of #Modernization, Chris Noack from Granite Construction and Andy Chase from CE led two packed sessions: Modernizing JDE Part I: Strategies for Leveraging JDE as a Next-Gen ERP and Modernizing JDE Part II: Hands-On With Meaningful Modernization. These sessions cut through myths about JDE’s future and equipped attendees with practical strategies, hands-on tools, and cultural shifts needed to position JDE as a modern ERP platform while winning leadership support.
A featured AI session was AI Driven Putaway, Replenishment & Picking in JD Edwards, presented by Nitin Choudhari. This session showcased how AI can drive intelligent warehouse operations from smart putaway based on product dimensions, to automated replenishment powered by demand signals, to dynamic picking optimized with shortest-path algorithms.
Security also took the spotlight in Securing JD Edwards AIS and APIs: Smart Strategies for Safe Integration, led by Tonio Thomas. As more companies expose #APIs and #Orchestrations to third-party apps and mobile solutions, this session gave practical, real-world guidance for building secure architectures and protecting sensitive JDE data.
Another exciting session featured AI Innovations in Smart Scheduler & Other Game-Changing JDE Tools. The CE team showcased AI-powered scheduling, Power BI + AI analytics, agentic warehouse automation, and ERPSign eSignature workflows. Each tool reinforced the theme: AI is no longer experimental, it’s essential.
Customer success stories rounded out the week, including From Manual to Modern: Warehouse Automation in JD Edwards using Orchestrator, where Hadrian shared how they eliminated paper-based processes, increased accuracy, and digitized high-volume warehouse tasks with #Orchestrator, #RFID, and #LowCodeNoCode tools.
